I thought it was time to give some thought to what the Doctor-assistant relationship is, what function the assistant has on the show, how Doctor Who distributes personal qualities by gender, and why I now hate this lovely show that I used to love.

Damn, this rings true and it breaks my (1) heart.

If Tyler really loved Caroline (which I doubt he does) he would let her be free and stop making her babysit his lazy ass all the time. Earth to Forwood fans, Tyler is holding Caroline back. She’s too good for Mystic Falls and is outgrowing her high school relationship. Stop being selfish and expect them to stay together forever just because you’re afraid to leave your townie boyfriend who cleans tables at Dairy Queen. If Tyler really loved her and wasn’t a selfish douche he would let her explore her options to see what she really wants. If they’re meant to be (they’re not) they will be together 100 years from now.

Since you made a blog to hate over forwood and the TC shippers, and tag your hate, i guess you’re looking for some attention. be my guest, express yourself. but please, say something making sense. Caroline is free, not sired to anyone, she can leave the town if she wants to. are you watching TVD or some other show ? because caroline was the one wanting to keep tyler next to her when he was ready to sacrifice himself to save the town and his pack in 4x09. if a character is not selfish in this show, it’s tyler. and caroline is free to do whatever she wants, so what’s your problem there ? tell me, go ahead, express yourself, but at least, have arguments, something based on the show.

Did they miss the S3 finale where Caroline wanted to LEAVE TOWN WITH TYLER?

I just love how the people complaining about Caroline needing to ~see the world and not beeing ~tied down by her boyfriend always seem to forget that Tyler actually left town TWICE. HE’S ALWAYS GETTING SHIPPED OFF, GUYS (I mean, this is something that pisses me off a lot but still. IT’S CANON)

He left in season two when he thought Caroline hated him and leaving with the other werewolves seemed like the best idea. Then he left again in season three to fight the sirebond. Tyler has never been portrayed as being emotionally attached to Mystic Falls, and he’s aware that outside of Caro and his mom, no one has his back. Now thanks to Klaus he’s all alone except for Caroline and HE KNOWS IT. Seriously if I didn’t really want to see him to get back his agency by killing Klaus I would want him to get the fuck out of that town and never look back.

Look, you can hate this ship all you want, but you should at least consider details like, I don’t know, canon and characterisation when you tag your hate post Forwood? If anyone would be reluctant to leave town, it’s “Miss Mystic Falls” Caroline. “It Was For Elena” Caroline. “What Do You Mean Stefan Isn’t Awesome” Caroline. It’s not Tyler. And seriously, if there’s anyone Caro needs to outgrow? It’s her highschool “friends”, not Tyler.

Also, it would be nice if people stoped taking what the characters say at face value. Klaus saying that Caroline is ~too good for Mystic Falls does not mean Caroline feels that way. It’s not a reflection of Caroline’s character but of Klaus’s. It doesn’t reveal her inner thoughts, it reveals his fucked up idealisation of the girl he thinks she should be.

(Basically this fandom drives me nuts. Sorry for the rant.)
